Hi {{firstname|there}},
Event details:
📅25 March 2026
🕘 19:00 - 20:00
📍 Free online event
I will keep this short and sweet, but this webinar is essential watching for anyone self-employed and earning over £50k p.a.
This kicks in April 2026! Yes - next month!
If that’s you make sure you join us for this free webinar!
No slides full of HMRC jargon. No generic accountant talk. We'll cover what MTD actually means for your situation as a dentist or associate dentist, what you need to have in place before April, and we'll take your questions live.
It's free. It's an hour. And if you're not across this yet, it'll be an hour well spent.
Spaces are limited, so if you're planning to join, register sooner rather than later.
A few things worth knowing about MTD before the event:
The penalties are real. HMRC's new points-based penalty system means late or missed submissions can add up quickly. It's not a one-off fine, it accumulates. Four missed quarterly submissions in a year will trigger a financial penalty.
"Digital records" has a specific meaning. It's not enough to keep a spreadsheet or scan receipts into a folder. You need HMRC-recognised software that can submit directly to them. There are bridging solutions if you're attached to your current system, but you need to know what you're doing.
Most accountants haven't thought about the dental-specific quirks. NHS income, associate splits, lab fees, mixed employment and self-employment - these all need to be accounted for correctly. This is where having an accountant who actually knows dentistry makes a difference.
Starting early genuinely helps. The dentists who've already moved to compatible software and got their records in order are finding it painless. The ones who left it to the last minute, not so much.
Natasha and I will go through all of this during the webinar and answer whatever questions you have.
Come along. It's free, it's online, and it's tailored to you.
Speak soon,
Arun
